Upgrading to Certified Residential

Licensed appraisers who are interested in upgrading to certified residential will be happy to note that Massachusetts adopted an AQB interpretation concerning the number of hours of qualifying education required to qualify for the exam. in order to upgrade from licensed appraiser to certified residential in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island, a licensed appraiser needs to complete 50 hours of qualifying education. The specific courses are:
  • Statistics, Modeling & Finance
  • Advanced Residential Applications & Case Studies
  • Other real estate appraisal qualifying courses of 20 hours.

The MBREA is offering the coursework necessary to meet this requirement as follows:

  • Statistics, Modeling & Finance -- Third Quarter 2009
  • Advanced Residential Applications & Case Studies -- Third Quarter 2009
  • Mastering Unique and Complex Property Appraisal (20 hours) -- Third Quarter 2009

These classes just added!! Click here to register!

We encourage you to take advantage of our reduced pricing for education with a course registration fees now 20% lower. Register online by clicking here. We are checking with other states to see if they adopted the AQB interpretation. If you are licensed outside MA, NH or RI, we suggest you contact the state board in your state for information. Please review the AQB established college level education requirements for certified residential and certified general classifications.
