Agenda
October 20, 2025
8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

9:00 a.m. to 9:50 a.m. – Changing Demographics & Real Estate Markets
Riordan Frost, PhD, Senior Research Analyst, Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies
Household migration patterns were fundamentally changed during the pandemic, including in elevated migration towards less-dense communities. This acutely impacted parts of New England, which saw much higher domestic inflows and consequent changes in population growth. These flows are easing in the post-pandemic period, which may mean a higher reliance on immigration and natural population change going forward. This talk will cover the national trends in household migration from the past decade and discuss how New England fits into these patterns, ending with an outlook for demographic change in the region.

10:05 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. – Staying Ahead of the Curve: Regulatory Shifts Every Appraiser Must Understand
John Russell, ValuSight Consulting, Sharon Whittaker, American Bankers Association, Scott DiBiasio, Appraisal Institute Jim Park, Collateral Risk Network
Gain an essential overview of the evolving legislative and regulatory environment impacting appraisers and lenders. This session highlights recent and anticipated changes at the state and federal levels, focusing on compliance, risk management, and what appraisers need to know to navigate an increasingly complex landscape.

Expanding your Practice with a Focus on Non-Lender Assignments
Join us for presentations and discussions by experienced practitioners designed to help you expand your practice into the lucrative world of non-lender, private assignments.
