Scheduling: The 2023 New England Appraisers Expo Residential Program will take place on October 19,2023 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Attendance: We are required to track each participants attendance which will be done through poll questions which will launch periodically throughout the program. We will not be able to award CE credit to participants who fail to answer all the poll questions.

Residential Session

Lyle Radke of Fannie Mae, and Scott Reuter of Freddie Mac will participate in a session moderated by Richard Lipof when each will overview collateral policy changes that directly affect residential appraisers. Topics include appraisal modernization, desktop and hybrid assignments, guidance for defining neighborhoods and comparable selection, reporting of market conditions and more.

Jeff Bradford of Bradford Technologies will wrap up the morning with a presentation on future opportunities for appraisers due to the intended and unintended consequences of the GSE’s appraisal modernization initiative. Included in the presentation will be a comparison between the current “traditional” appraisal process and the new “modern” appraisal process. An overview of new technologies such as GIS, Artificial Intelligence, 3D imagery, and web-based processing and their effect on the appraisal process will be covered.
