The opening Program on October 21, 2024, will be in-person only at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel, Norwood, MA and includes lunch and breaks. The Commercial (October 23) and Residential Programs (October 24) will be live-streamed only via Zoom.

Scheduling: The 2024 New England Appraisers Expo Opening Program will take place in-person only on October 21, 2024 from 9:15 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Commercial Program will be live-streamed only on October 23, 2024 from 8:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and the Residential Program will be live-streamed only on October 24, 2024 from 8:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Attendance: We are required to record each participant's attendance which will be done through sign-in sheets at the Opening Program and by poll questions during the Commercial Program. We will not be able to award CE credit to participants who fail to sign both the sign-in sheets and answer all the poll questions.

Kevin Sears, President, National Association of REALTORS (NAR) will brief attendees on the current status of NAR with comments about the recent commission settlement and its impact on selling and buying residential dwellings.

Living with the New Climate of Metro Boston

Dr. Paul Kirshen, Professor in the School for the Environment, University of Massachusetts Boston will share his research about how climate change is affecting the metro-Boston region and expectations for its impact in the years ahead.

Economic Update

Aaron Jodka will overview of the U.S. economy and discuss trends in the labor market, interest rates, inflation, along with a forecast. Green shoots are emerging in sectors within the economy, while challenges are developing in others. The purpose of this discussion is to dig into the current and future state of the U.S. economy and how that will ultimately that will translate within the commercial and residential real estate sectors.
