Course Description

Many appraisers who are looking for ways to expand their portfolio of services have found that offering expert witness and litigation services can be both rewarding and lucrative. An Appraiser as an Expert Witness begins by differentiating the different types
of witnesses used in litigation and continues by taking an in-depth look at various Federal rules governing expert testimony. The general civil action process is discussed in detail, including pretrial procedures and what to expect once on the witness stand. Special emphasis explores the appraiser’s duties to the professional standards of ethics and competency.
